Title Development of two dimensional materials for electronic device applications

Two Dimensional (2D) materials are a class of materials which has layered structure with atomic thickness. The unique electrical, optical and mechanical properties of 2D materials have made them the most potential candidate in technology applications. These 2D materials have a wide range of applications, such as optical/electronic devices, batteries, electro- or photo-catalysis, supercapacitors and solar cells. Among them, the e lectronic device application is particularly noticeable due to the outstanding electrical property and ultrathin nature of 2D materials.

In this report, basic information of 2D materials were first introduced, including their lattice structures, chemical compositions and physical properties. Secondly, five works on 2D materials metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFET) were demonstrated. Two of them focused on development of 2D materials MOSFET device technologies, which includes defects characterization of graphene and transfer of CVD MoS 2 . Other three works focused on application of 2D materials as MOSFET device component, including bandgap engineering of Mxene, electrode application of Mxene and converted HfO 2 /HfS 2 hybrid structure. At last, applications of 2D materials for tunneling field effect transistor and transparent conductive electrode, were also discussed.
